Doing the Two-Step
It’s confusing, downright lonely and feels like a tightrope walk with one foot in the world and the other on your conscious journey. Not a lot of fun, you sometimes think. And it always seems like you take two steps forward and one step back or even a couple of steps more till you’re out of sync with everything. To top it all, there’s Julius telling you to find joy in every moment. And you’d like to throw the towel in!
How often have all of us set off our day with a bang, a feel-good state with inspiring energy work or a meditation and have it all dissipate rather rapidly as we find ourselves moving through the molasses-thick sludge of pervasive low-frequency energy? How often have we sought to keep our inner work a very private affair, even from loved ones because they just won’t understand or they think all that stuff is just weird?
Learning to Leave Behind the Expectation of Others
That’s been Ann’s* struggle for almost 20 years. She is immensely drawn to raising her consciousness, not so her husband. When she first set time aside for her meditation every day, her husband’s grouse was – you’re always meditating. When she went off for retreats and she did go despite her husband’s lack of enthusiasm, her guilt would sabotage any headway she could make. To make matters worse, her son now joins in with oblique judgment and sometimes not so oblique – you’ve been meditating for so many years and you still lose your temper? Then starts the futile attempt to be the saint that she and everyone around her thinks she ought to be. She says this whole thing about joy is something she just doesn’t get. Is it any wonder?
But what if we are the ones that split life and consciousness into separate compartments? What if we’ve never seen an alternative that could embrace the work of consciousness and have it flow into every facet of life? A natural flow that would be smooth and simply a demonstration of our being.
No Magic Wand Needed
Getting to understand what this entails and then implementing it in our conscious work is the stuff of magic, finding that elusive joy and setting our world on fire in the most adventurous, fun way possible. It’s the harmonious, fulfilling movement forward for Ann and thousands of others in her type of situation. It would seem to be the only way forward for a vast majority of children being born in these times who have a knowing that goes far beyond what the average adult has. As parents of such children, people who get this flow and understanding are in a unique position to have that vital connection, communication and nurturing component that these children need to achieve the full promise of their magnificence.
Consciousness is not a bubble, it was never meant to be. Perhaps it’s finally time to re-direct and transform this game of life and consciousness so that all is aligned, expanded and an amazing demonstration of our authentic nature as a light being.
Julius is shining the light on this integral process to support and guide us through it in the upcoming course – Consciousness Is Not A Bubble.
